Crystal Clear Round the Reader..."The Lazy but I Remembered Edition"

Round_the_reader_6    Definitely Lazy with a captial L but it also hits 2 purposes with one post...

This week's edition is going to send you over to The Cotillion where there was a wonderful round-up of posts this week.  I just know you are going to enjoy it far better than the last minute roundup I could provide right now as I am headed out to the Made in Hawaii Festival.

So until later, enjoy Jailhouse Rock , Leading Ladies, Preparing Ourselves for Presentation , and Cotillion Hurricane ...Doesn't matter we are late! There is always a place on the dance card for Crystal Clear readers...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Round_the_reader_5 Proving I  didn't learn much from last week's problems... This is my second  attempt at posting  this week's edition...Thank goodness I can try to recreate it with the help of my handy dandy sidebar of history...

  • We princesses young and old need to stick together. Jaded Sunburns  introduces her daughter's blog The BT Princess and Beth of MVRWC introduces her daughter's blog Little Miss Princess ...Head on over, take a look at the next generation of bloggers, and share some linky love and comments...
  • Because the world is a better place with kids blogging and not sitting in a Yemeni prison, Armies of Liberation shares a post and a link to this petition
  • Via Annika's Journal ...So this is what I have...Very funny take-off of an actual pamphlet my office used to have in the waiting room!
  • Euphoric Reality's 7 part series is this week's must read. This is most certainly going to be heading this year's Best of the Blogosphere come December
  • Soldiers' Angel jumps on the podcasting bandwagon and leaves us looking forward to many many more

As I said, I had to take time to re-create this post so I am out of time this morning. I am headed to enroll Bryceton in his new school...Stupid brainless school district wench the other day informed us we needed to have a NOTARIZED copy of a letter from my parents stating we lived with them in addition to a copy of bill. Isn't it funny that school bureaucrats seem to all be cut fro the same cloth? Until we meet again...which will probably be later today or tonight or this weekend...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Round_the_reader_3    Ok..LET'S try this again...for the 3rd time...I keep moving off the Firefox page somewhat by accident and somewhat by stupidity...

So in my lost in paradise mind I forget these little technicalities...NOT...Well I was realizing I missed my Wide Awakes post this morning. Although this is not excusable, it is nice to know my post wasn't really missed with great reading such as Political Correctness Trumps Security in NYC and  Have You Hugged a Terrorist Today?

So sorry but the fourth was the charm in this case... I keep slipping off this post and I just can't recreate it again for the fourth time with all the links... So after you check out The Wide Awakes, I know you will love your reading assignments over at the Cotillion and of course the other Round the Reader writers never disappoint you as much as I have been doing lately...Speed of Thought gets it right...An American Housewife needs a gentle reminder this is not  stupidity  ...Conservative Thinking goes to the dogs? and of course the rest of my colleagues who aren't going to be mentioned now because the laptop is about to lose power....

Hope your weekend is everything you want it to be... Until next week...at least for Round the Reader...my regular blog may get a post or two if I can manage...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr_4    Well I think I have done a bit better this week with getting back into the blogging swing of things. Right now I have four posts I have started that are in the draft pile. Most of my posts, I usually just start blathering about something and then push the ol' publish button. I don't know exactly why I haven't finished my posts on:

  • "Deep Cacka"-about NASA sending a craft the size of Herbie the Love Bug loaded with explosives into the comet Tempel 1 because they are curious
  • Support the Troops and Their Wishes a piece by Chris over at Conservative Thinking that is highly moving to me and hits a very deep spot in my patriotic heart
  • "How Soon til the Ice Age Hits Your Neck of the Woods"-a piece inspired by hearing Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney Peter Carlisle speak this week
  • "Just Because You CAN, Doesn't Mean You Should"-a piece I hate to say inspired by but nevertheless a piece with regards to this neighborly rudeness by a couple of ACLU type lawyers determined to use their front lawn as an Anti-War and We Hate Bush statement. They seem to completely miss one of the most basic rules to getting along with the world that the rest of us learned in Kindergarten...Not to mention it would seem there is a time and a place for everything...It might be the time but out of respect at least to one's neighbors it would certainly seem there are other places far more appropriate to sharing one's  opinions...perhaps at an ACLU meeting or on a blog?

So while those wanna-be posts wait, let us do a little Round the Reader...
First off, I and several others are a bit concerned we are only at 704 comments (goal is 1000) over at Jeff's comment party and he will be graduating boot camp FRIDAY which is TODAY so please head on over and leave a comment...

This series of posts by Rick of Right Wing Nut House is amazing. With a lot of internet scouring and great creative juices, he has brought Gettysburg to us from the perspective of someone who lived at that time and as if the internet existed in 1863!!! Brilliance I say...Brilliance...Rick wondered at the start:

Frankly, I don’t know how this is going to turn out. But you know what? I could care less. All I know is I’m going to have fun doing it.

Hmmm...Rick...IT TOTALLY WORKED! Please keep up this type of blogging ....of course with your continued work on things like this and this ...I don't think my Round the Reader will ever be complete without a post of yours.

Flinging semen and feces ...Over at Moonbattery we learn it is just another day at Gitmo

I did not have sex with that woman...Dr. Sanity shares about flexible morality and the Dem's ideal

A Registry for SCOTUS...hmmm...SC& A might be on to something

From Scrappleface: this is not news and not so funny considering this

Small Dead Animals always look so mahhhvelous...Woo Hoo Kate!

Well the time has come...the laptop is running low on juice and since my stuff seems to finally have arrived, I have to deal with getting it right into storage tomorrow morning...early morning...I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and don't forget to check out all the other Round the Readers...one of us is around every single day to make certain blogger's block is never an issue...Also stop on by The Wide Awakes and the Cotillion both are also time well spent...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr18jf_4 Another Friday and another opportunity to get back on track with blogging...I really have no idea where or how my time here is being invested other than I am starting to feel some pressure and heat about being UNEMPLOYED...Ahh well maybe I should just name it Project: Hula for the Moola and set myself on my way?

Nevertheless tis' time to Round the Reader and what better excuse (as if I really need one...and I don't) to go surfing a bit around my own blogroll and catch up on what some Crystal Clear gems have been blogging about lately...

  • I see when Jackson's Junction and Atlas Shrugs get together there is a lot more to be read than blah blah blah...Wait... I want you to read that post... so I shouldn't have linked it with blah blah blah...Nevertheless it really is amazing what a great writer can do with a little word play... I mean Coffee Enemas...what sheer brilliance....Nuptials in the blogosphere really need to be celebrated loudly, don't you think?

  • Teknosis has a great and thorough post referencing charts that demonstrate a discrepancy of more than 2 hours regarding Terri's "collapse" and the time Michael Schiavo waited in seeking help...Yep...it isn't just in my heart and soul that Terri is gone but will never ever be forgotten...

  • For another piece of interactive "put your Grey matter to work" fun, check out this over at fellow RtR's Cry Freedom who also is guest blogging at The Red Voice

  • Artitumis provides us with a great movie review of Batman...I would have an awful time doing such a great job as this...I so rarely get to the movies I think just about everything I see is at the very worst...good!

  • Chris has really done a fantastic job with his new Conservative Thinking   blog design and the content matches... here he has just a teeny thought but it is an interesting thought on Rove's comments ...I have posting privileges over there and one look at his site has truly inspired me to get my bloggin' butt really back in gear and write something worthy of such a beautiful and professional site...

  • Truly, this is a great deal of fun and I hope you will join one of us RtRs or all of us...each and every day of the week

  • Mark that calendar for Tuesdays as well for the Cotillion and please check back on in here too as I get around to putting up the pictures from Nethan celebrating the start of his Terrific Twos!

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr18jf_3 This is my third attempt at trying to write this post up...hold on while I finally GET it that I need to save it throughout writing it...My dad's computer has some nasty trojan virus that is really messing with things...until I get my notebook adapter and a wi-fi account set up... I must endure...

So here we go...I also actually did write up a pretty lame Round the Reader post last week but was so jet lagged out I didn't actually post it....This week I am going to try a bit more with regards to getting back into blogging about not only issues of personal relevance but issues of social relevance as well...Not as easy as I had imagined it would be so I am going to give it a whirl but hope you will either be very gentle with me or go ahead and let me have it full throttle...

Crystal Clear this Round the Reader would not be complete and would not be coming from my blog if it didn't link to at least several posts about the release of the autopsy of Terri Schindler Schiavo and the MSM's distortion and outright lies about the findings...

First up we have La Shawn Barber who gets it and then of course the usually sane Michelle Malkin...Blogs for Terri is also a must read...I myself am still a bit too raw to express my thoughts in a manner that add anything new or different...As I wrote above...getting back into blogging on issues of social relevance is a bit more difficult than I had imagined it would be...

Thank goodness I knew I could turn to Cao's blog and the STOP the ACLU blogburst to focus on something we all should know about and something we should all do something about...which of course inspired me to recognize one of the newer Wide Awakes members, the Daisy Cutter, who shares this gem...

In case you need some help in telling the Left from the Right, The Rottweiler Puppy helps out with some small bites

Please make certain you don't have a full tummy when you read the Leftist plan to desecrate Ground Zero from Moonbattery.

Kender talks about losing his cherry and I was involved...scary pic of me with no makeup included...I have a few more to post if I ever get around to getting my computer hooked up to the internet and not have to rely on this POS

And if you are in the mood for an oldie but goodie as far as cleaning your screen...

And in the final roundup inspired by fellow Round the Reader contributors we have Rick of Cry Freedom with a sad reminder of what happens when you tell your gut to shush up...and now thanks to Artitumis I learn I somehow fell into the Aloha spirit so much I missed FLAG DAY... HOW DID I LET THAT HAPPEN???? So freaked out by that one... I am gonna have to let the rest of the illustrious RtR contributors slide this week...

Not my best round up... and probably one of my worst... but I shall keep at it until I get it right ...oh and here's a head's up to let you know I am hostess this week for 1/3 of the Cotillion Ball... I am thinking I am going to go with a Luau theme... not quite certain how pearls and pumps go with grass skirts...but sounds like fun doesn't it???? Check back in on Tuesday!

Shoot...who am I kidding... I want you to start checking back in here at my humble blog every chance you get... Cause I am BACK baby ... I am BACK...

Aloha and Mahalo... I really am back to posting... really ... I am...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader-The "I Remembered Edition"

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us     I remember forgetting last week but the week before I have no idea how I forgot...I am glad to return although I am providing the disclaimer right up front that I have NOT finished packing for the movers tomorrow and I am a bit distracted by all that still needs to be accomplished before we hop on that plan on Tuesday...Nevertheless...Let us go...

Starting off our dance card it is Crystal Clear it was a no brainer to provide a link to the   highly and  wildly successful inaugural Cotillion where I later discovered Ilyka Damen is also facing the joy and agony of pulling off a rather large scale move.

Over at Power & Control  we find yet another inaugural carnival. Although this first Carnival of the Drug War didn't receive the same glory as the Cotillion, I am keeping my eyes and mouse poised for action on this one...How can you not return time and time again to a blog  from a man who uses Viagra, Pot, and Old Farts in the same post?

Proving if there was ever a doubt....there is a blog for everything and I do mean everything and everyone this week's entry is Jake's Lego Blog ...

I am pooping out... I know I know I know... I am not worthy I am not worthy I am not worthy... but I shall return after the movers take the load I am about to finish packing...Or at least I shall try... I do love doing this... and it is a lot more enjoyable than packing...but one of us needs to get something done....
3:26 updated:
OOps I remembered to post BUT I forgot this week's post would not be complete without at least one Deep Throat reference and Digger's Realm adds a twist with a poll about whether Felt should be prosecuted or not...when I left it was 50/50.... I really shouldn't be surprised another thing in this world isn't Crystal Clear ...for another take on Deep Throat, check out Deep Throat Douglas from Jody of Steal the Bandwagon .
Ok I am not quite finished enough with packing for the movers but I will dutifully set my alarm for 2 or 3 hours from now and crash  just a teeny bit....

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr_1    Shoot! My Thursday nights have become the time when I prepare my Round the Reader post. My little night of sleep almost led to a Friday without Round the Reader.
    Off we go...

  • "THIS LAND WAS MEXICAN ONCE, WAS INDIAN ALWAYS AND IS, AND WILL BE AGAIN." about a monument that has been around far too long..I really wonder how it ever came into existence...Just amazingly ballsy.... Although I am trying to slow down on my illegal alien posts and have admittedly personally surrendered to La ReConquista... I know there are some who are still not convinced of Mexifornia's slide into the toilet...
  • Shooting the Messenger  leaves me shaking my head in absolute agreement. Do these ad hominem clowns all fail the same debate class?
  • Trying a new Crystal Clear Friday Round the Reader feature:
    • Starting at the bottom of the Blogosphere Ecosystem:We spotlight the insignificant microbe who if she keeps blogging won't remain there for long:  jinnPod's "Games We Used to Play "
    • Simply Kiwi -the Multicellular Microorganism
    • Crystal Clear this feature would end up taking more time than I ever imagined! There are a great many blogs that have not been updated in quite a while... So I will leave this feature for now but I am hoping to come back in future editions to bring some exposure to those just beginning their blogging career

So that final attempt at providing some linkage just about sucked away all the time I had this morning... So as usual... check out all the other Round the Reader entries throughout the week....There is always something to blog about and by now we should all know there are those who will listen and those who will troll!!

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr_1

People will always need something to line the birdcage or kitty litter box...and I'm guessing, with tongue in cheek of course, cutting out coupons is likely to be in the next DSM V.

While Dave is away The Poop Report has a guest editor...You just have to wonder if he won't come back with travelers' diarrhea. I'm just sayin'...

"Goodbye Kofi Anan"-Perhaps we can hope she will work on a full blown musical?

Breakfast Club Parenting...He definitely has lucky lucky kids...

IT  is starting already and is only going to  get worse... especially if you are lucky enough to have a 7 year old boy in your home like I do.

Sigmund, Carl, and Alfred share in the spreading of laughter here and the spreading of "sanity as well as freedom"  here.I came very close to picking his post on Freedom, God, and People as the one must-click piece to read this week...but keep reading and/or clicking because the one is yet to come...

Rick at Cry Freedom creates Blogger Nation over at Nationstate let's don't leave him alone without  allies for long ...I never joined because I was upset by all the dictators and leaders treating their people so terribly...I might join now to form a more perfect union with Rick!

At Such Stuff I find a chance to throw in a "Shame Shame Shame on Primetime". She says all that needs to be said about that Fallen Idol......What a L O S E R...and yes I know, I know, I know, I was manipulated into watching that POS show and I followed just like the little AI sheep I love to be...Hey it isn't fattening, illegal, or immoral....

Rusty and his readers get a better reason to swear and I get reason to say AWESOME...Chris is still awaiting feedback concerning his wayward terrorist/troll. I sure hope the right team is preparing a cell for him and not the wrong team.

Scott gets it right with Three 4 Three on 05/05/05 -A little numerical insider joke for the team over at  The Wide Awakes.

Remember Groucho's observation about not wanting to be a member of any group that would have him?...well Crystal Clear not true with this one.

And here we come to the post of the week which is the must-click-read of the week:

Keep Praying for Amanda.

Earlier in the week, Hugh started the blog coverage of this story. I found out about Amanda Twellman-Dieppa and her request for Medarex via Three Bad Fingers . Ed has also stepped up to the plate with  Why Would Medarex Say No? . More seem to be following the story  but according to her web site they  haven't yet come to any resolution with Mr. Drakeman the President of Medarex. California Medicine Man brings up relevant 'bigger picture issues' but also offers what seems to be at first glance like quite a fair solution. I continue to pray and hope we will have a resolution quickly.

It may be Amanda today but it could just as easily be one of my sons, one of your children, yourself, or someone you love who needs our help tomorrow.

UPDATED!!!!! 5/6/05 @ 1:15 p.m PST Medarex has agreed to help Amanda! (hat tip:Three Bad Fingers ) Will keep the prayers coming. Good job Medarex!

Round The Reader Friday

Welcome, Crystal Clear Readers, to Beth's Echo Chamber Edition of Round the Reader!  I know many of you have no clue who I am, so I'll kind of introduce myself to you by presenting some of the blogs I visit that are similar in mindset to mine.  Yes, it's self-indulgent, but hey, I'm a blogger--aren't we all to some extent?  ;-)  So, on with it!

Be sure to check out the other Round the Reader bloggers every day:

Crystal Clear Round the Reader-The Embrace Your Inner Troll Edition

Rtr_1

Ahh trolls..Dontcha just love to hate them...Makes the blogosphere go round and round and adds a bit of salt and pepper not to mention stinky stinky stinky mold to your  favorite blog or  of course your very own....Spend enough time around the blogosphere and you are certainly going to end up either being one or running into one...

  • ThatColoredFellasweblog isn't quite certain whether he should consider himself  'a no-pest strip for Trolls or be offended because he doesn’t seem to attract them!'
I'm guessing... a damn good blog from a well-spoken and intelligent man  &/or he goes out prepared to do battle in pre-emptive strikes!
  • The Papal Critique-O-Matic 3000(tm) a truly divinely inspired invention creates brief papal critiques and addresses trolls as an added benefit. As he writes:
    • The function of internet comment trolls, the very creations of Satan, King of the Losers Himself, will also be rendered obsolete, and we readers shall save so much time, server cycles, and bandwith that could be spent on better things, like reading and discussing articles and arguments by people who have some idea of what they are talking about.
  • But of course we all need to and want to share some of our stinkiest troll turds. Crystal Clear, the blogosphere doesn't disappoint and provides a brand new and perfect place for storing the best of the troll turds.
  • I am guessing even the most rotten and skankiest of trolls couldn't help but enjoy the following:

Dolls and tin toys reflecting regional cultures of Pakistan...products which generate cash income for the farming families through the local cooperative-like NGO.

with its own amazing slide show.

  • or this one

Old0la_2well maybe not the blue-haired smoker ones

Trolls  are such givers aren't they?

Crystal Clear Round the Reader-The Aloha in 52 Edition

Rtr_1

  • At Blogs for Terri , there may finally be a "happy ending" close at hand for Mae Magouirk.
  • At Brent's American Idol Season Four , I find I am not the only one stunned Nadia went home this week and am beyond shocked that not only was Bo in the bottom three but that Scott didn't get his walking papers...I must remember to vote...but hard to know whether I am more for Bo or Carrie...hmmm
  • Nicole suggests Feed Shark- "It's a great tool that submits your blog or RSS feed to over 20 different sources"

  • For the one coin with two sides regarding Operation Falcon we have What Country Do We Live in? :
    • This is something Nazi Germany did in the 40s. I call on everybody out there to write to your elected officials and demand an explanation as to what the heck this is all about. Because it looks like this administration thinks they can go and pluck you out of your home anytime they please.

and Are you kidding me? :

I can imagine the feds in a conversation last month... Cop #2: "Hey, maybe we should arrest that child molester/murderer down the street. He has 100 violations..." Cop #1: "Nah, we gotta look good in two weeks and satisfy the FALCON quota. So we should let him run free for now." Cop #2: "You're a genius. No wonder why you're Cop #1 and I'm still Cop #2" Cop #1: "I know.

      • As I move into my explanation of what I am hinting at  by saying Aloha in 52 edition, I present  The Liberation of Aztlan Starts with Los Angeles. As I mentioned above, there are just far too many issues and topics I want to blog about on a daily basis. This piece by Res Ipsa Loquitur is a great piece in that it nicely and briefly presents and summarizes important but IMNSHO not publicized enough facts about the Los Angeles Mayoral candidate Villaraigosa. Villaraigosa is pretty much assured a win this May election. I believe when we look back in a number of years...well never the mind... I will either blog about that later or just move on to something else...But as far as the one link I really urge you to read and to look into further this week...This is the ONE...

So just what makes this the Aloha in 52 edition? I bought three one-way tickets from LAX to Honolulu Hawaii leaving in 52 days on June 6, 2005...Yes indeed....Adios Mexifornia...we are  outta here and onwards to Hawaii! So for those of you wanting to follow along as I pack, sell, toss, and give away all the things we have accumulated over the years...and then hit Oahu in need of work....I would greatly appreciate your support and prayers...it is going to be quite the whirlwind...

Crystal Clear Round the Reader

Rtr_1

Welcome...I am so glad to see you here at my inaugural edition of Round the Reader...I hope you enjoy these links as much as I had in gathering them.

Over at Precint 333, I find myself wondering if the sherrif's department  paid for the postage on this example of power gone very awry. I understand there is a certain Judge in Florida who also doesn't like having his judgement questioned.

Bitchalicious in her usual but never to be matched candor explains Haloscan comments to the clueless and cheap.

At Kenders'  Musings we discover NPR and "moonbats" everywhere better watch out starting  this weekend.Congrats and kudos to Kender for bringing his not-to-be-matched style to internet airwaves.

Steve over at Micro Persuasion wants to see Bloggers on Oprah?

For all those sniffing around for a grossly  underreported scandal, Derek over at Weapon of Mass Distraction offers us Fannie Mae: Like Enron, But About 20X Bigger

Ankle Biting Pundits displays the utmost integrity in admitting their part in the blogosphere's oopsie regarding Schiavo-quiddick and gets CNN coverage for it!

La Shawn Barber seems to be getting more than her fair share of e-mail from those who really don't need to be heard from...as usual she is a class act. I like seeing her represent the blogosphere on MSNBC Coast to Coast.

For every blogger who suffers from the stupidity of Trolls

Strange Doctrines offers a scary thought or sign of the times?

Pajama Hadin offers some weighty information regarding Fighting Judicial Tyranny but also provides a means to take action

<>

Spiritual Parasites-Couldn't evil be explained by choice? by Bruce Thornton over at VDH Private Papers is one of the most amazing pieces I have read in a very long time. If you  click on only one link I present today...definitely make it this one. Seriously, this is exactly the type of mind I want in the man I marry someday...This type of mind and the ability to communicate such important thoughts...gives me goosebumps and really turns me on...

Speaking of being turned on a great deal of the time, head on over to congratulate Ran in Hong Kong who is hitting his 60th auction, which means the 60th week and the 60th photo of his ambitious and worthy humanitarian project entitled  "350 Rans". Ranhasa is a blog not quite like any other you have ever read.

Guess this brings us to the end of this edition of Round the Reader. If  this isn't enough  to keep you busy and entertained as well as thinking and blogging  there is always Blogazoo  or Blog Explosion and of course...any of the Round the Reader blogs.
