Round The Reader Friday
Welcome, Crystal Clear Readers, to Beth's Echo Chamber Edition of Round the Reader! I know many of you have no clue who I am, so I'll kind of introduce myself to you by presenting some of the blogs I visit that are similar in mindset to mine. Yes, it's self-indulgent, but hey, I'm a blogger--aren't we all to some extent? ;-) So, on with it!
- The Emperor at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler gives atheists a well-deserved ass-whippin' for screeching "THEOCRAT!!!" every time the word (warning: un-PC word follows) GOD is uttered or implied in public. It IS gettting pretty tiresome hearing that truly Idiotarian nonsense. Warning: The Rott is not for those who object to strong language, or for idiotarians (which I know none of Crystal's "fans" are, although the trolls...well...).
- Ace of Spades wraps up President Bush's press conference, and talks about the Bush plans for Social Security reform and gas prices. As usual, the critics never offer any alternatives, just complaints. He then rightfully takes people to task for crying about cutting spending after they've been crying about too much spending.
- basil (not "Basil") meets Evil Glenn Reynolds at Blog Nashville and gives us the scoop. "HEH."
- BLACKFIVE introduces us to Army Specialist Matt Braddock and Soldiers' Angel Willie Aumfkolk as part of his ongoing Someone You Should Know series. After you read it, please go check out the Soldiers' Angels website and consider helping out with a donation or by "adopting" a soldier or platoon!
- Arthur Chrenkoff, who regularly brings us Good News From Iraq, congratulates Iraqis as Iraq’s National Assembly has approved the country’s first democratically elected government, AND he gets published in an Iraqi newspaper! Congratulations to Arthur Chrenkoff!
- The Cranky Neocon spreads a crappy meme.
- Steve at Hog on Ice continues to torment the Nigerian spammers. If you get spammed (don't we all?)--and even if you don't (ehh, it must be nice) you will LOVE his Good Morning, Nigeria! series.
- Spacemonkey announces the Inaugural Edition of the Carnival of Comedy at IMAO! Yay Spacemonkey!
- Do you know who Roy Hallums is? He's an American contractor who was taken hostage in Iraq in November. Rusty Shackelford from The Jawa Report has been on top of the story since the beginning, and was the first to report on him. He's been in contact with Roy Hallums' family since the beginning, and has an exclusive four-part interview with Mr. Hallums' ex-wife and his daughter. This is a definite must-read! See: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.
- Headmistress SondraK asks you to "complete this sentence". heeheehee
- Michele Agnew is coming up with a new comment game based on blogrolls, but she's not ready with it yet so in the meantime, she'll be doing the Weekend Meet & Greet comment game! (Did you play the Meet & Greet here yet?)
- Michelle Malkin has an update on Laura Ingraham, who had surgery on Tuesday after being diagnosed with breast cancer last Friday. She got good news!
- Sigmund, Carl, and Alfred ask, "Where did feminism go wrong?" in a thought-provoking post (as usual!), where he adds a few more therapeutic thoughts to some ideas he had.
- Jody at Steal the Bandwagon finally kills a crappy meme! (My phrase of the week: Blogroll Jody, or else!)
- Eric at Vince Aut Morire tells an anti-Social Security-reform partisan hack why his weak attempt at spewing party line bullshit is...well, bullshit.
- And last but not least, Preston at Six Meat Buffet has another link dump for ya, when you're finished with this one!
